"Madden NFL 15" waited until Week 19 to update their player rankings and create a roster update. Let's take a look at some of the changes.

Tony Romo was upgraded to a 94 overall from a 93 and raised his awareness level by two points and his throwing accuracy by one. That update was done after the Dallas Cowboys' victory over the Detroit Lions. In Dallas' game against the Green Bay Packers, Romo was solid but was grimacing in pain and only threw the ball 19 times. He will likely stay at that 94 rating until Week 1 of 2015, depending on his preseason progression.

Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are out of the playoffs. Newton's interception late in the fourth quarter against the Seattle Seahawks handed Seattle a trip to the NFC Conference Championship. Before that game, however, Madden 15 boosted Newton's ratings, giving him two more points in awareness and one more in throwing accuracy based on his win over the Arizona Cardinals. The interception deep in enemy Seahawk territory, on the other hand, showed Newton's lack of awareness. He had time to throw the ball to one of his checkdowns but forced a pass that was returned for a touchdown by Seattle. Newton should give those two awareness points back for Week 1 of 2015.

Odell Beckham, Jr. was phenomal this year. He had some great catches and filled the hole that an injured Victor Cruz left. He was raised to a 90 overall-rated wide receiver. This is rare for a rookie to be elevated into the 90s club. Madden games usually do not give rookies much credit.
