Verizon and AT&T seem to be taking over the nation when it comes to wireless.

Typically, the best phones make it to these two carriers and the best network coverage comes from them too. With that said, Verizon's plans can be very pricey, but seeing an all-out price war as of late, Verizon might start offering cheaper plans.

Verizon has the most subscribers, 106.2 millions, according to a Verizon press release, and they do offer the best coverage map, but how can they justify their prices? They might have to start dropping them. With Sprint and T-Mobile slashing prices and offering more data, Verizon might have to follow suit.

Recently, Verizon added the More Everything Plan at a cheaper price, if consumers choose the 10 GB per month plan, The Motley Fool reports. The base price for this plan is $80 per month; AT&T offers a very similar plan for $100.

Head over to a family plan with four lines sharing that same amount of data, and it will cost $140 per month. Sprint has a 12 GB plan for a family of four, but their network is nowhere near the quality of Verizon's. Meanwhile, T-Mobile has this same plan for $100 but also struggles with spotty coverage.

One advantage T-Mobile has over Verizon would be the Stash Your Data plan. T-Mobile insists that consumers should be able to keep the data for which they paid. Verizon does not appear to be heading in this direction. They could soon, however, considering AT&T recently unveiled a strict rollover data plan.  AT&T's plan only allows one month of rollver data, while T-Mobile's plan lets consumers build up data over one year before it expires.

Verizon could focus on making their network even more powerful before lowering prices, but if Sprint and T-Mobile start poaching customers with their clever advertising and timely promotions, Verizon might have to lower their prices.
