WWE 2K15 News, Reviews, DLC & Gameplay for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360: Wrestling Game Missing Iconic Match Types
WWE 2K15 is missing several popular match modes gamers are used to seeing on WWE programming and pay-per-views. It looks like these matches will not be added to the game when new patches and downloadable content (DLC) are made available.
Back in WWE's (WWF at the time) Attitude Era, we saw Kane and Undertaker battle in Inferno matches. Essentially, this was a ring surrounded in fire. It sure seems easy for the graphics guys with 2K Sports to be able to add some colorful flames around an arena, but this has yet to be seen.
An "I Quit" match was included in WWE '13, but two years later, the mode is mysteriously missing. I Quit matches are only ended when a wrestler screams "I quit" into the microphone given to him by the referee.
There are no Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches. Tables, ladders and chair matches, made popular by the Dudley Boyz, are missing from the game. Again, it seems pretty easy for the game developers to draw up some ladders and tables and put them into the game. Perhaps making the wrestlers climb the ladders was more complicated, however,
Attack of the Fanboy said, according to developers, certain match types did not translate well onto the next-gen systems. The developers told them it had to do with the new physics engine. Instead of adding more matches and more modes, the developers of WWE 2K15 are focusing on keeping the game from having bugs and issues.
With Wrestlemania season coming up, the developers did say they will update the 2K Showcase modes.
What do you think of the missing match types in WWE 2K15? Do you think they should be included in the game or should the developers focus on keeping glitches and errors out of the game? Leave us a message below in the comments section and let us know what you think.
