Novak Djokovic will resume his quest for his fifth Australian Open title in the fourth day of this year's tournament on Wednesday night at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia.

Djokovic, who is considered as the favorite to win the title this year, will go up against 23-year-old Russian Andrey Kuznetsov, who advanced to the second round via a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 win over Albert Ramos-Vinolas of Spain.

The top-seeded Serb kicked off his 2015 Australian Open campaign with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Aljaz Bedene of Slovenia in the second day of the tournament.

Djokovic had a rough start against Bedene mainly because of the illness that bothered him before the tournament started, and the 27-year-old is hoping that he will be in a better shape against Kuznetsov.

"It hasn't been an ideal couple of weeks in terms of health and preparation. But, you know, I fought my way through. Now it's behind me," Djokovic told reporters. "I'm only looking forward. I think I did well in terms of responding to the slow start [on Monday], feeling a little bit rusty on the court."

The Djokovic-Kuznetsov showdown will be the third match of the first session at the Rod Laver Arena. The first match of the first session -- Johanna Larsson vs Agnieszka Radwanska -- is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. EST.

Before the match between Djokovic and Kuznetsov, women's top seed Serena Williams will also resume her bid to win her sixth Australian Open title. She will face Vera Zvonareva of Russia in the second match of the first session.

Williams, who last won the tournament in 2010, defeated Alison Van Uytvanck in the first round 6-0, 6-4. On the other hand, Zvonareva earned the right to face the 33-year-old tennis superstar with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Ons Jabeur of Tunisia in the opening round.

Defending champion Stan Wawrinka will also see action on Wednesday night at Margaret Court Arena. The 29-year-old Swiss, who scored a straight-set win over Marsel Ilhan of Turkey in the first round, will go up against unseeded Marius Copil of Romania.
