Katy Perry actually predicted how her album, Prism will perform in the Billboards.

The artist's latest album Prism debuted at the No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. Not only that, her album's sales also set a new record for the largest sales week of 2013 for a female artist in the United States. Katy Perry is indeed a lion letting us hear her roar.

For the album's first week of release, 286,000 units were sold. This is the artist's best sales week for her whole career.

According to E! News, if her Teenage Dream album did well, debuting at the top spot in eight countries and spedning more than two years on the Billboard 200, her Prism album did even better. The album's first week sales was a 50% increase from the Teenage Dream's first week of sales. 

Impressively, the album also surpassed Miley Cyrus' Bangerz,which did exceptionally well during the first week, selling 270, units in the first seven days of its release. Before Prism, Bangerz was the year's biggest sales week among women.

Prism is quite different from Teenage Dream, which Katy Perry acknowledged in her Billboard magazine interview. "I didn't want to do Teenage Dream 2.0," Perry shared to the magazine. In her words, ""Teenage Dream was highly conceptual, super-pop art. Prism is more organic, au naturale, vulnerable and honest, but still has the same amount of fun."

Katy Perry have received a lot of attention lately for her relationship with Robert Pattinson, which according to them is just a really good friendship misconstrued by many. Their karaoke video of their lively rendition of Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You," went viral.

E! News on October 30, reported on what Katy Perry said about her relationship with Robert Pattinson.

"Well, there's the media for you, nothing is sacred, not even karaoke," the 29-year-old singer joked. "Yeah, no I mean, we were just hanging out and we have a lot of friends that we hang out, one of my best friends is a mutual friend of ours and we got wasted and did karaoke like people do.
