Glassdoor, a website that provides user reviews of jobs, recently published the 25 Best Jobs in America for 2015 list. The list describes the best jobs based on earning potential and number of job openings.
The best job, according to Glassdoor, is a physician assistant. The job offers an average base salary of $111,376, and there are reportedly over 45,000 job openings.
Physician assistants need a four-year degree, a PA program, state certification and state licenses before they can start their career, according to the American Academy of Physicians Assitants.
Right behind PAs are software engineers. Software engineers are in demand with over 100,000 job openings, according to Glassdoor. They also can expect to make, on average, $98,074.
Sofware engineers usually need at least a bachelor's degree to start their careers, according to CollegeQuest.com.
Human resource managers make the fourth spot on Glassdoor's list. However, there are not as many job openings for this position. Glassdoor only lists 8,073 job openings for this job that makes on average $96,443.
Physical therapists are in pretty high demand with over 27,000 job openings. Those who choose this career can expect to make $64,806 on average. Glassdoor ranks it as the 19th best job on their list.
Mobile developers are rare, but needed to keep technology up-to-date. With only 4,651 job openings, finding a career as a mobile developer could be hard.
Mobile developers need to have advanced backgrounds in computer science and experience working with mobile devices. The job's average salary is $79,810 and Glassdoor rates it as the 23rd best job on their list.
