Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly is taking exception with network colleague and Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's recent assertion that the women of New York City to be "trashy."

Huckabee, who recently resigned from his Fox News show and has strongly hinted at a 2016 GOP presidential run, shared his thoughts during a recent radio interview sparked by him discussing his disgust with being around women who swear, New York Daily News reports.

Huckabee appeared on "The Kelly File," Wednesday night, during which the host wasted little time in informing him that she had "news" for him."

"We are not only swearing. We're drinking, we're smoking, we're having premarital sex with birth control before we go to work and sometimes boss around a bunch of men," Kelly said.

While he simply laughed through much of Kelly's rant, just days before, Huckabee spoke with Jan Mickelson on his Des Moines-based radio show about the use of profanity in New York.

"... not only do the men do it, but women. My gosh, this is worse than locker room trash talk," Huckabee contined. "As we would say in the South, that's just trashy."

Huckabee's back-and-forth with Kelly marked the second time in recent days several high-profile Fox personalities have publicly sparred over apparent disagreements.

Former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin recently took leading network personality Bill O'Reilly to task after he hinted she is not a viable option for the party and will not be a serious candidate for the 2016 presidential nomination. In yet another thinly veiled dig, O'Reilly even seemed to mock her reality TV show history.

Appearing on an episode of the "Sean Hannity Show" earlier this week, Palin responded.

"No, the people of America deserve the best and competition through a GOP primary, whether a Bill O'Reilly or somebody else assumes a reality a show or not, they deserve that competition to surface the competitor who can take on Hillary [Clinton] or whomever it may be and win for this country," Palin said.
