Emmy Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, who will host the 87th Academy Awards this year after emceeing both the Primetime Emmy Awards and the Tony Awards, will join actor and writer James Lipton as a special guest on Feb. 12 when "Inside the Actors Studio" premieres its 21st season. The show will air at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.

For anyone counting down, that's only 10 days before Harris takes on hosting duties at the Academy Awards on Feb. 22 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Bravo's a fan of the actor, comedian and producer: This will be the actor's second time on the show and his first solo sit-down with the TV series. Harris joined the cast of the hit CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" on the program last spring, prior to taking home the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his work on the 2014 Broadway revival of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's glam rock musical, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch."

"Considering that we are nothing more or less than a master's class in a drama school, all of this is remarkable to me," Lipton said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"I anticipated none of it. But I think it's a tribute to the American audience that they would keep coming back to us all these years-that they're interested in the same thing we're interested in: craft. We don't deal in gossip, we deal in craft. And I was warned when we started if we did that, we'd last six weeks. Well, here we are, going into our 21st year," he said.

Entertainment Weekly noted, "Ever since Lipton interviewed Alec Baldwin in 1994 for the first episode of 'Inside the Actors Studio,' the long-running show has become one of the most honored prime-time series in the history of broadcast television with 17 Emmy nominations, including a 2013 win."
