"La Sombra del Pasado" will start airing on Univision starting on Feb. 16, but before the show begins, meet the characters whose lives will be shaken up.

Aldonza Alcocer

Michelle Renaud will give life to Aldonza, according to Univision. She is Raymundo and Roberta's daughter, and she's generous and kind.

Unfortunately, her father is absent in her life and her mother is not a good person. These things have affected her, but at least she has her aunt, Adelina, to take care of her. Aldonza has always thought of her as a second mother.

Aldonza falls in love with Cristobal, even though there is a rivalry between the two families.

Cristobal's father, Severiano, interferes and makes her flee and give up the man she loves.

When she returns, she has to face her past, especially Severiano.

Cristobal

Cristobal will be played by Pablo Lyle. He is Severiano and Candela's son, and he is passionate.

He looks to be independent, especially from his overprotective mother. He spend most of his childhood studying in the capital, but he then returns to Santa Lucia and falls in love with Aldonza.

When Aldonza disappears without letting him know why, he goes to study in another country. There he meets and becomes engaged to Valeria.

Severiano

Alexis Ayala will play Severiano, who is married to Candela. He's always felt Candela to be distant to him, so he took this as an excuse to have lovers, one of them being Roberta.

When Raymundo discovers that his wife is cheating on him with Severiano, the two face off. As a result, Raymundo dies and Severiano loses an arm.

Roberta had Severiano's son, but she makes him believe the baby has died. Severiano is bitter, and he will do whatever he needs to get what he wants.

Valeria

Thelma Madrigal is Valeria. She is Humberto and Prudencia's daughter.

She is spoiled and always wanted to be with Cristobal. She even allies with Candela to destroy Cristobal and Aldonza's relationship.
