Madden simulations have been pretty accurate over the years. After Sunday's big game, they are now 9-3 on their predictions as they got the winner and the exact score correct for Super Bowl XLIX

USA Today reports the New England Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24, and Madden NFL 15 guessed that exact score.

The way the Patriots did it was with a second have comeback. The Patriots were down 24-14 in Sunday's game, before scoring two unaswered touchdowns to make the score 28-24.

The Madden simulation had this exact scenario with the Patriots being down by that same 24-14 score.

Tom Brady threw for four touchdown and 328 yards. Madden predicted he would throw four touchdowns and 335 yards.

There is more though. Madden also predicted the leading receiver would be Julian Edelman. Edelman was the leading receiver with nine catches for 109 yards. Madden predicted eight catches and 109 yards.

Edelman, in the Madden simulation, was the player to catch the game's deciding touchdown. He did that in Sunday's game.

The developers of Madden NFL 15 must be pretty impressed with their football simulation skills. Getting the score exactly right is very impressive, but getting the player's stats almost exactly is amazing.

Rankings Predictions:

It will be a long time before Madden updates their player rankings. In fact, they probably will be released for Madden 16 and might not be included in Madden 15. After Sunday's Super Bowl, the rankings deserve one final look.

Tom Brady overcame two interceptions to finish as the Super Bowl's MVP (Madden predicted that too). He was a 98 overall in week 20. Heading into the 2015-2016 season, Brady should stay in those upper 90s. His arm still looks strong, and his awareness level is always high. He is rated a 99 for awareness, and he will stay there.

Rob Gronkowski had some big catches in crunch time in the Super Bowl. He was a 98 in week 20 -- he should be increased to a 99. His rare combination of speed and size make him one of the best passing threats in the league.

Seattle's best defender, Richard Sherman, was not targeted much in the Super Bowl. Teams are avoiding him, but he could be exposed next year. Madden 15 says he is a perfect 99 overall-rated player, but that likely will be reduced by a few points next year as teams study tapes on him to find out how to get by him.
