Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth Breakup & Split: Singer Writes Apology Letter To Ex
After dating for almost 4 years, pop star Miley Cyrus and Australian actor Liam Hemsworth parted ways, due to Cyrus' raunchy performance at the MTV VMAs back in August. Now, Miley puts the past behind them and writes an apology letter to her ex, telling him that she's sorry for pushing him away.
The couple met when they were filming romantic drama "The Last Song" in 2010. After dating for a while, the 20-year-old "Wrecking Ball" singer and 23-year-old "Hunger Games" actor announced their engagement in June 2012.
Cyrus and Hemsworth called off their engagement earlier this year, after the pop singer's infamous twerking performance with Robin Thicke at 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. As Miley Cyrus continued to sweep the nation with her controversial behaviors, including her naked music videos and provocative photo shoots, it pushed Hemsworth further away from her.
After nearly two months apart, the singer realized that she has lost and attempted to patch things up with Liam Hemsworth by writing an apology letter. Cyrus originally planned on making a love song to show her ex how much she's sorry.
"As time has gone on and the anger subsided, Miley has really started to feel the pain of the split. She thought about writing some songs, but then decided, why not write a letter to Liam to tell him exactly how she feels. Miley admitted to Liam she has pushed him away and said sorry for acting so mad.
"Miley says in her letter she still loves Liam deeply and has asked him to meet up. It could be for closure or it could be to start again, but she just wants to see him and talk things through," a source said.
However, it seems that it might be a bit difficult for the pair to mend things up. Just days after calling off their engagement, Liam Hemsworth was seen kissing Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, and they've been seeing each other ever since. Also, Miley Cyrus was reportedly spotted making out with Good Charlotte's Benji Madden on Halloween.
