With Google Glass 2 and the the Galaxy Gear recently launched, one would think that wearable gadgets are the next big thing. A new poll showed otherwise, as reported by ZDNet. Wearable technology such as the Google Glass, which people wear as glasses, or the Galaxy Gear, which is a smart watch, still have barriers to overcome before they garner the level of customer support expected. According to a survey carried out by Harris Interactive, almost 50% of the participants believed that wearable technologies are just a fad that will not last long.

While the general population is still skeptical regarding the use of these wearable technologies, Hunger Games cast, Jennifer Lawrence, John Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are excited to test the Google Glass for themselves. During the Global Fan Day, the Hunger Games stars tested out Google Glass and posed cutely for their fans. Their faces wearing Global Glass featured a range of cute emotions that the fans certainly ate up.

From the pictures in E! News, it seems Josh was happy with Google Glass while Liam was very much in awe with the nifty gadget. Jennifer, who sported a new and dramatic pixie cut, looked confused. Hunger Games movie director, Francis Lawrence, joined in the fun. Wearing the Google Glass, he just looked in general, amused - either with the technology or with the whole business of posing with the gadget.

The Global Fun Day did not stop with the cast interacting with their fans through Global Google+ Hangout. Fans around the world are also offered another trailer. The trailer is shared exclusively through Facebook.

With all these promotions going on, already die-hard tributes, or fans rather, will certainly get even more excited. Fans certainly cannot wait for November 22, when the Hunger Games II, or Catching Fire movie hits nationwide. The US premiere is also set to happen on November 18.
