Conrad Hilton, the younger brother of heiress and socialite Paris Hilton, was arrested in Los Angeles on Tuesday after having an alleged meltdown on an I nternational flight from London to Los Angeles back in July, TMZ reports.

According to People, Hilton turned himself into the FBI and is accused of assaulting and intimidating the plane crew in a matter that prevented them from performing their flight duties.

TMZ reports that Hilton referred to the passengers as peasants and threatened to kill the flight attendants.

"If you wanna square up to me bro, then bring it and I will f*cking fight you," Hilton said according to a witness. "I am going to f*cking kill you. I will f*cking rip through you. I will f*cking own anyone on this flight; they are f*cking peasants."

Following his verbal attack, Hilton allegedly began punching the bulkhead of the plane, located approximately 10 centimeters from a flight attendant's face. Flight attendants allegedly attempted to handcuff Hilton to the plane seat, but this provoked Hilton even further and he threatened to have the flight crew fired.

"I could get you all fired in 5 minutes. I know your boss! My father will pay this out. He has done it before. Dad paid $300k last time," Hilton allegedly told the plane crew.

TMZ claims they spoke to Hilton's lawyer, Robert Shapiro, who claims that Hilton's outburst is a result of an adverse side effect of sleeping pills. Shapiro confirmed that Hilton had consumed sleeping pills prior to his flight and instead of sleeping, he suffered from a rare side effect that causes some people to experience violent outbursts.

Witnesses also claim that while on the flight, Hilton made his way to the bathroom and began smoking weed.

So far, neither Paris nor the rest of the Hilton family has commented publicly on Conrad's meltdown.
