Lady Gaga's third album, ARTPOP, has been highly anticipated bby fans, following the 2011 release of her record Born This Way. Gaga announed on her Facebook page that ARTPOP will be a "BIG BANG!" record that will bring forth a new age of music, and seems like the album delivered.

The singer told Daily Mail, "We wanted to put the art onto the soup can." She described the album as a "reverse Warhol" that intends to put art and culture into pop music.

Lady Gaga has been actively promoting ARTPOP around the world, donning a number of jaw dropping and out-of-this-world outfits - something that she is very much known for. Case in point, while promoting the album in Berlin, the "Born This Way" singer wore a retro inspired yellow dress with furry sleeves. But what really made the outfit stand out was the hat which onlookers swore was an upside down purse with a front zipper.

Just like her outfits, the album also included several unique tracks that fans will love. ARTPOP also included several collaborations and features from other known artists, including T.I., R. Kelly, Twista with production from Zedd, Madeon, DJ White Shadow and Will.I.Am, to name a few.

Below is the track list review of the new album which promises a mind blowing musically artistic experience:

  1. Aura - This is a strong opening track that showcases the diversity and sets the tone for the rest of the album. Aura has a catchy beat and has already been stirring controversy with its reference to the burga.
  2. Venus - This is the first song produced by Gaga herself. Venus has an excellent melody that is guaranteed to get stuck in your head. Billboard describes the track as "a gooey disco groove that the singer fully exploits in the brassy pre-chorus." The references to the Goddess of Love give a powerful female message.
  3. G.U.Y. - Following the female banners raised during the previous track, "G.U.Y." has a rich pop-meets-techno beat that is both entertaining and bewitching. The song is a parody when it refers to gender roles, submission and feminism and challenges the boundaries of sexuality.
  4. Sex Dreams - This is one of the more brilliant singles in the album where you really see Gaga's personality. Sex Dreams is racy to say the least, and channels a mix of Britney Spears meets Marilyn Monroe.
  5. Jewels N' Drugs (feat. T.I., Too Short and Twista) - The contrast of "Jewels N' Drugs" to the previous songs couldn't be more evident. Although this track shows the versatility of Gaga, this hip-hop track sticks out like a sore thumb as listeners can't help but be confused with the rap interludes from T.I, Too Short and Twista.
  6. MANiCURE - It is highly possible that "MANiCURE" could be the next mantra of Gaga's fans. This track has Gaga written all over it and injects a much needed shot of electro-pop with its cheerleader beat that will get fans up on their feet.
  7. Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly) - "Do What U Want" is an explosively pleasant surprise. Gaga and R Kelly's collaboration is soulful, romantic and exciting and showcases romance that is surely going to mark this song as one of the stronger tracks on the ARTPOP album.
  8. ARTPOP - Gaga has continuously said that "ARTPOP" could mean anything. The song's melody is bizarre and striking with a chorus that ties it all in with its electro beats coupled with Gaga's signature catchy lyrics.
  9. Swine - "Swine" was the highlight of the iTunes Festival earlier in 2013. In this song, Gaga shows of an angrier, more aggressive side but the harshness of the song may be a turn off for some.
  10. Donatella - There is an air of confidence in "Donatella" as Gaga creates a song that will soon be the anthem of Divas and outcasts alike. With lyrics like "I'm skinny, I'm rich... and I'm a little bit of a b*tch," you can pretty much deduce what the rest of the song will be like.
  11. Fashion! - This is a high energy track that can get basically anyone to get their hands in the air and jump. Some have said that this could be a throwback to the days of Madonna.
  12. Mary Jane Holland - Even with its references to drugs, Mary Jane Holland can be considered dramatic. Aptly included in the ARTPOP album, the theme of the song circles on identities, personalities as well as alter egos.
  13. Dope - A subdued track in the ARTPOP album, "Dope" hypnotizes listeners with Gaga's revelation of vulnerability. Using slower electro beats, the song showcases Gaga's vocals and lets people sneak a peep into a side of Lady Gaga that is rarely visible.
  14. Gypsy - Similar to "Dope," Gaga's vocal talents shine; it gradually shifts from a slow rhythm to become more upbeat. There is no doubt that Gaga saved the best for last with Gypsy and Dope.
  15. Applause - It seems appropriate that the album would end with Applause. It might not be the single fiercest track on the record, but "Applause" allows Gaga to end the record on a good note.

Overall, ARTPOP has something for everyone with an especially strong collection of pop songs. It is exactly what you would expect from Lady Gaga with jaw dropping surprises like "Dope" and "Do What U Want."

As a treat to fans, Lady Gaga has made the album available for streaming a week before its official release on November 11, 2013.
