Gloria Estefan's husband, Emilio Estefan, is reportedly being sued by disabled veteran John Jacobs Jr. who claims Emilio stole a concept for a music competition show from him, according to TMZ.

In the suit, Jacobs claims back in 1999, he pitched a concept for a show involving a singing competition and fitness boot camp to Emilio's production company, Estefan Ent.

But instead of collaborating with him and compensating him for his idea, Jacobs claims Emilio and Estefan Ent. allegedly stole his idea for their reality TV show, "New Voices of America."

TMZ reports Emilio Ent. produced the show back in 2005.

Once the show came to fruition, Jacobs claims he set up a meeting with Emilio to discuss his involvement with the idea. But Emilio allegedly canceled the meeting at the last minute, and ever since Jacobs has been struggling with the rejection.

Jacobs is now claiming he hit rock bottom and has trouble controlling his bowel movements because of the stress and turmoil Emilio brought to his life when he did not credit and compensate him for his idea.

Jacobs is suing Estefan Ent. for $15 million for his alleged "emotional stress."

So far, Emilio has yet to respond publicly to the suit.

News of the lawsuit filed against Emilio comes on the heels of the shutdown of his and Gloria's Ocean Drive restaurant, Cardozo, Local 10 reports.

Local 10 claims that while Emilio and Gloria only lease the restaurant space, they are still concerned about the shutdown because of its many health violations and because the restaurant has allegedly been shut down before.

This time, Cardozo is being shut after health inspectors found live roaches roaming around the restaurant's oven, says Local 10, adding that restaurant inspectors shut down the restaurant for for 11 violations found in the establishment including the discovery of a mold-life substance on the soda dispenser.
