Chocolate-Covered Strawberries for Valentine's Day 2015: Delivery, Deals, Stores and Where to Buy
Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching. For those who have no idea what to get their special someone, here is an idea that they will love: chocolate-covered strawberries.
Chocolate-covered strawberries are a fan favorite and a romantic gift for Valentine's Day. It is now crunch time and if you want to get a box of these treats before they run out, you better act now.
Shari's Berries offers all sorts of different sets of chocolate covered strawberries. If you act now, the website is guaranteeing delivery by Valentine's Day.
Shari's Berries also offers special pricing for radio listeners. If you click on the microphone in the upper right hand corner and type in "radio" the price for a half dozen gourmet dipped fancy strawberries goes down from $34.99 to $19.99.
This set of six strawberries comes with two strawberries dipped in milk chocolate with chopped almonds, two strawberries dipped in dark chocolate with chocolate chips and two strawberries dipped in white chocolate with dark swizzles.
For $9 more, you can upgrade to a full dozen strawberries which comes with four of each of the above mentioned strawberries.
Godiva is offering special pricing on their shipping of their hand-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries. If you order by Thursday, they will ship for $19.99. These chocolates are pricey though: $42.00 for a set of six. Another option to avoid shipping charges is to find a Godiva store and pick them up in person. There are 188 stores in the U.S.; check the store locator to find the one nearest you.
Other options for chocolate covered strawberries can be found too. If you act quickly, your local supermarket or grocery store's bakery should be able to accomodate you. Pick out a variety of chocolate-covered strawberries like white and dark chocolate. Also ask the bakery to put some toppings on the berries too. You may need to place a special order or ask if the store offers them to ensure availability.
If your city or town has a candy or chocolate store, you can also go there. Be prepared to spend a little extra; these places tend to raise their prices during Valentine's Day.
