Ricky Martin has had a long career in the music industry, and the Puerto Rican singer has no plans of stopping.

His 10th studio album, "A Quien Quiera Escuchar" ("To Those Who Want to Listen"), was released on Feb. 10.

"I feel a great calm because I have accomplished all that I have wanted to and more," he said in an interview with "Viva," according to La Nación.

In the last few years, Martin has been able to feel happier with himself. The singer admitted that letting people know he was gay was life-changing.

"It's the best thing that has happened in my life," he said. "I admitted that I'm gay as a matter of dignity and self-esteem. Now, I love myself more, and this can be seen from miles away."

His latest album will also be one of his most personal. Martin said he was in his studio for months, without doing anything else but creating music. He said this helps everything "flow" in an "organic" way.

According to Martin, he usually becomes fixated on a topic, which he then tries to write about.

"The first song I recorded in Australia and it was 'Mátame Otra Vez" ('Kill Me Again') and, honestly, what I wanted was to share things that have happened to me, but also to share things that I have seen in this life," he said. "A romantic album came out of that, and I think, it also has a touch of partying and flirting. It is where I am ... I'm talking about things I've lived transparently..."

He explained that not everything in the album happened within the past year.

Martin wants his newest album to be heard around the world, and just like with his single "Adios," which he also recorded in English and French, he will have different versions of his album.
