On Tuesday, Feb. 10, Bobby Brown's lawyer, Christopher Brown released a public statement slamming media outlets such as TMZ, the National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail U.K. for publishing false reports claiming that his daughter, Bobbi Kristina would be taken off life support on the anniversary of her mother, Whitney Houston's death.

"... [T]he false reports that continue to appear in print and on the Internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention. The desire to be 'first' has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy," Brown's lawyer said in a statement obtained by CBS News.

In the same breath, Brown's lawyer also thanked those who attended the recent candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina and thanks the fans for their continued support.

TMZ has since updated its report that now reads that Bobbi Kristina will not be taken off life support. However, TMZ still insists that Brown's family members previously told its reporters that Bobbi Kristina would be taken off life support.

"Brown family sources tell us Bobby has finally made the decision, realizing there is no hope for his 21-year-old daughter to recover," read the original TMZ article. "A source connected with Houston's family told TMZ on Sunday ... Cissy Houston, Whitney's mom, also wanted life support pulled on the anniversary to 'bond mother and daughter for eternity.'"

Bobby Brown's lawyer has also spoken out against reports referring to Bobbi Kristina's lover, Nick Gordon as her husband.

Contrary to what Gordon and Bobbi Kristina have previously told the public about their marriage, Brown's lawyer insists that the two were never married.

CNN reports that Gordon is currently being investigated for the near fatal drowning of Bobbi Kristina.
