Today marks the big day for Mexico as the national team takes on New Zealand and the All-Whites in the first leg of the playoffs. Here are the starting lineups for each team:

Mexico (3-5-2): Moises Munoz; Juan Carlos Valenzuela, Rafa Marquez, Maza Rodriguez; Paul Aguilar, Juan Carlos Medina, Luis Montes, Carlos Pena, Miguel Layun; Oribe Peralta, Raul Jimenez.

"Still a very laboured start, this," he said, describing the status of the game in the early going. "Mexico's players might be familiar with one another from club football, but they have not yet displayed any great cohesion or common purpose."

We'll see if Mexico is able to gain some momentum down the stretch against a tough New Zealand squad.
