Former "The Partridge Family" star David Cassidy has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, telling a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge in Southern Florida he owes nearly $300,000 for a mortgage on his home alone.

TMZ reports 64-year-old Cassidy claims to owe $292,598 on the home. In addition, he claims to owe $39,102 in credit card debt, $21,000 of which is owed to American Express and another $17,000 to Citi.

In court filings, Cassidy also revealed he is currently involved in yet another legal dispute over several thoroughbred horses he co-owns.

Cassidy, who sold more than 30 million records over the course of his career, told the court he owns homes in both Florida and Saratoga Springs, New York.

Early last year, Cassidy pleaded no contest to DUI charges and was remanded to rehab and ordered to serve five years' probation. The arrest marked the second time in six months and third over the last five years that Cassidy had faced jail time stemming from drunken driving charges.

Cassidy was taken into custody in California after blowing a breathalyzer twice the legal limit and failing a roadside sobriety test given to him by a California Highway patrolman.

According to TMZ, at the time of his sentencing, Cassidy was already enrolled at an inpatient facility and had been there for more than three months.

The Daily Mail reports Cassidy recently won nearly $158,000 from Sony in a suit over profits from "The Partridge Family." Cassidy, who starred as Keith Partridge, had sought millions in unpaid compensation for rerun airings and from merchandise sells related to the show. Cassidy first filed the suit in October of 2011. The show also starred Shirley Jones, Susan Dey, Danny Bonaduce, Jeremy Gelbwaks, Brian Forster and Suzanne Crough.
