Taylor Swift was chosen to perform as the headliner for this year's Victoria's Secret fashion show, which successfully took place at New York City's Lexington Armory on Wednesday night, November 13.

On the stage decorated with British banners, the all-American star kicked off the special event, covering herself in Union flag head-to-toe. Swift wore her Jack-inspired English ensemble with a paint-splattered flag-print mini-dress and a one-armed flowing train blazer that swept down the runway, completing her look with matching open-toe booties and a tiny top hat.

Aside from British Invasion, the evening show featured other spectacular themes, including Snow Angels, Shipwrecked, Parisian Nights, Pink Network, and Birds of Paradise.

The seven-time Grammy winner performed her hit single "I Knew You Were Trouble" as the faux snow fell from the rafters on the packed audience, while the Victoria's Secret Angels paraded down the catwalk in various states of extravagant undress.

The featured models for 2013 VS fashion show included Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel and Cara Delevigne. Swanepoel was honored this year to wear Victoria's Secret bejeweled Royal Fantasy bra. The brassiere was hand set in 18-carat gold and featured 4,200 precious gems, including a 52-carat, pear-shaped rubies, diamonds, and sapphires.

"Everyone asks what it's like to wear $10 million dollars. It does make me pose a little bit better," the South African model said in a behind-the-scenes video.

Taylor Swift took Twitter to post up a Polaroid photo that she took with the following caption written, "Best friends forever VS13."

"The best things always happen on the 13th! @ErinHeatherton @LilyAldridge @Caradelevigne #VSFashionShow," the pop-country singer tweeted.

Swift will take her next "Red" tour to Vector Arena in Aukland, New Zealand on November 29. Next year, she will also play the role of Rosemary in the fantasy-drama, "The Giver."

The hour-long 18th annual Victoria's Secret fashion show is slated to air on December 10, at 10 p.m. on CBS.
