The previous season of the Fox show "American Idol" with former judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj was certainly full of tension and verbal confrontation. During a recent interview, Carey shared her experience with "American Idol," and expressed her frustration working with her co-host, Nicki Minaj.

The two divas had gotten into heated debates during the auditions and the live shows numerous times in the past. For instance, the Queens rapper dissed the legendary singer on Twitter. "What u SHOULD be doing (wit your messy ass) is asking why a woman SO successful at her age, is still so INSECURE, and bitter @perezhilton," Minaj tweeted in May.

Another confrontation occurred when Nicki Minaj cursed out Carey during an audition last month. The scene of the rapper attacking the fellow judge was caught on camera, "So every time you patronize me, I'm-ma take it back, and if you've got a f--king problem, handle it." Enraged Minaj added, "I told them I'm not f--king putting up with her f--king highness over there. Figure it the f--k out. Figure it out." As the result of the verbal dispute, the audition ended up being cancelled on that day.

"Honestly, I hated it," said Mariah Carey to the Hot 97 radio show host Angie Martinez, recalling her experience with Minaj. "I thought it was going to be three-person panel. They gave me a nice dangling monetary moment, and I was just like, 'Okay. Randy Jackson will be there; I've known him forever. He used to play bass for me. Like, this isn't a big deal. This will be nothing.' But it wasn't that," the singer explained in detail about how at first she thought she was going to be part of a three-person panel, presumably without Nicki Minaj, but the plan soon changed.

"It was like going to work every day in hell with Satan," she added.

Neither Carey nor Nicki Minaj will return to the show for Season 15 in January 2014. Instead, Keith Urban will be joined by Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr., with Jackson taking on a mentor role.
