People who expected all Playstation 4 and Xbox One games to be superior to their predecessors may end up disappointed.

A YouTube review of Madden 25 on the Playstation 4, which was just released today, shows some gameplay footage along with some commentary.

"When I got my hands on the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of Madden 25, at first I liked a lot of what I saw," IGN's Bobby Amos said in his review. "But after a few games, I started noticing more and more problems . . . right now, if I had to pick between the next-gen version and the current gen, I would rather play Madden on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3."

The Playstation One costs $400 while its rival, the Xbox One, is priced at $100 more for $500.

One of the reasons that gamers have such high expectations heading into the next-gen release is that the previous releases were significant upgrades from the older generation platforms. The Playstation 2 and Xbox were a huge step up from the original Playstation and the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles proved to be significant upgrades as well. However, there wasn't so much of an overhaul this time and there was a heavier focus on the external features beyond just the regular gameplay.

Another reason why people would be expecting more than they might get is because they have had to wait a long time since the last release more than a half decade ago.
