Kobe Bryant Injury Update: NBA Star Returns to Practice, Could Play Next Game?
Barely seven months after a bad Achilles tendon injury the superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers is back at practice to the delight of his fans. His injury was sustained while trying to get his team into the playoffs. During the training session with the team he went through a few light drills doing moves not quite expected at this early stage in his recovery. His aim is to be ready for the 18th NBA season as the 4th highest scorer in NBA history.
The Los Angeles fans will no doubt be very glad that he is back as another player Steve Nash is also on the bench after a back and hamstring injury. Their recent results in the Memphis game is proof that Kobe's presence and style is needed to improve their ratings.
Pau Gasol told the Lakers official website that Kobe looked in good shape and that his return to the game is something to look forward to.
Fans are hoping that Kobe will be ready for the Nets game in Brooklyn on the 27th November as they want to experience the thrill of his sharp explosive tactics on the court. His favourite high-flying dunk as executed in Brooklyn always delight the spectators.
Kobe started his road to recovery by doing the treadmill for several weeks and mostly on flat ground to give the injury time to heal properly. His training routine will be entering a critical stage when he starts doing lateral movements putting more strain than the current straight-line sprinting.
Kobe record last season was 27.3 point average and shot a fantastic 46.3% during last season before his injury. His tied career-best of averaging 6 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game is hard to beat. Coach, Mike D'Antoni, admitted that the result of the Memphis game could have looked different on the score board if Kobe was there.
