Fox 'Empire' Season 1, Episode 7 Spoilers: Jamal Denies Daughter, Lucious' Health Gets Worse [Watch]
"Empire," the new drama series on Fox that gives viewers an inside look into the music industry from a fictional lens, has been getting lots of buzz ever since its debut last month.
Last week's episode, titled "Out, Damned Spot," marked the epic return of actress Raven-Symone to television as she played a character who claims to be the mother of Jamal's illegitimate child.
A preview promo for the next episode, which is entitled "Our Dancing Days," reveals that Jamal will have to explain the situation to his current boyfriend, Michael.
"The kid can't be mine. I slept with that girl once," Jamal tells Michael in a clip.
"Once is all it takes," responds Michael.
Another scene hints that Lucious's condition will take a turn for the worse. Instead of being a miracle cure, his a doctor tells him that his "experimental treatment" is actually "poison."
According to E! News, fans can expect to see more of Raven-Symone on the new drama series, along with the cute little girl who is supposedly Jamal's daughter. In addition, "Empire" creator Lee Daniels hints that more big name stars will appear on the show, along with Jennifer Hudson and Rita Ora.
"The big surprises haven't even come yet. We haven't even shot you yet with the main bullets," said Daniel, who directed "The Butler" and "Precious."
The official synopsis for the upcoming episode reads as follows:
"Lucious tries to brand Empire Entertainment as a tight-knit, family-run business which, ironically, complicates the already tense relationship between Hakeem and Jamal. Meanwhile, Cookie and Anika don't hold anything back when it comes to taking over the company," reports TV Guide.
"Empire" episode 1.7 "Our Dancing Days" will air Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 9 PM EST on FOX.
