As an entire nation grieves along with the family of the McStays, authorities will not rest until they find the monsters responsible for this crime. The bodies of Joseph McStay, his wife Summer McStay and their two preschool-age boys, Gianni and Joey Jr. were found in the Victorville desert on Nov. 13th 2013 after their disappearance back in 2010, according to NBC San Diego. Today, Patrick McStay, father of Joseph McStay, claims that he has a list of three suspects who might have killed his son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons.

McStay says that he felt all along that multiple people were involved in the Feb. 2010 disappearance of his son and his family. Out of the three suspects, Patrick McStay claims that one of them stands out the most due to a long criminal history that includes charges of; attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and burglary, reports CBS news. "He has money and was in prison...he absolutely has a motive", said McStay. He also added that "two things could have happened; either there was a hired killer who killed them or the children could have recognized them-this person". Only a heartless, barely human being, could commit a crime like this. Patrick McStay also stated "to kill a child is totally different, you have to be a cold blooded killer".

Investigators reportedly followed a number of leads and tips that eventually led them to believe the Family had voluntarily left to Tijuana, Mexico, where they were last "dimly seen" on a surveillance camera. But family and friends of the Fallbrook, Calif. family knew that this was not like them. Mike McStay, Joseph's brother, who crawled into an open window of their home after unanswered phone calls found the dogs hungry and unattended as well as eggs left on the kitchen table. It wasn't likely for this family to just up and leave their dogs, their home, their families and their country; It's not a normal thing to do.

As the FBI continues their search, we are all confident that they can bring this or these criminals to justice. We also hope that the information brought forward by Patrick McStay can take the authorities one step closer to solving this tragic mystery. Finding the killer will mean that Joseph, Summer, Gianni and Joey Jr. can then rest in peace.
