Next year's NFL regular season doesn't begin until September, but offseason moves are beginning to take place.

Franchise tags, trades, re-signings, draft picks and releases will highlight this offseason. Getting important free agents at the right price is key to building a Super Bowl team.

Unfortunately some free agent players are a bit overrated heading into this offseason.

Buyer beware:

5. C.J. Spiller

C.J. Spiller is a young talented running back who was drafted No. 9 overall in 2010. In his five seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Spiller has protected the ball, had a 1,244 yard season in 2012 and he averages five yards per carry. What's not to love?

In a word, health. Spiller has potential but he just can't stay on the field enough to get a big contract. Last season Spiller broke his collarbone, and only started five games. Spiller has only managed to start 36 games in his five seasons with 12 career rushing touchdowns. For perspective, DeMarco Murray had 13 rushing touchdowns this season. Spiller is a great teammate, but it's just not worth risking high value on him when you have other great running backs on the open market.

Possible Destinations: Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts

4. Michael Crabtree

Michael Crabtree is a pretty good wide receiver who will definitely get signed this offseason. Almost all of his entire career, Crabtree has played in a great system with the San Francisco 49ers. Having Frank Gore run the ball efficiently and Anquan Boldin draw double teams didn't hurt, either. Crabtree could make a good No. 2 or No. 3 option for a team in need of wide receiver help, but unloading a huge contract on him could be very detrimental towards your salary cap. Crabtree only has one season in which he has received more than 1,000 yards.

Possible Destinations: Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns

3. Justin Forsett

Justin Forsett has become one of the biggest names on the free agent market after his 2014 performance with the Baltimore Ravens. This past season, Forsett ran for 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns. That's all good, but it was a contract year, and players almost always overperform in the final year of their contract.

Before last season, Forsett had played six seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars. If you were to take away last year, Forsett has just eight career touchdowns. The bottom line is Forsett hasn't proven enough yet that he isn't just a one-hit wonder. Forsett also turns 30 years old next season.

Possible Destinations: Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins

2. Michael Vick

For whatever reason, people still think Michael Vick can perform at a high level in the NFL. Vick never was a great thrower of the football, and his running skills are deteriorating. A career 56.1 percent thrower, his accuracy won't help you win games either.

Last year with the New York Jets, Vick averaged just 15 rushing yards per game, 18 yards below his career average. At this point in his career, Vick would be better off as a backup quarterback or maybe even considering retirement.

Possible Destinations: Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals

1. Wes Welker

More and more, it looks like the New England Patriots made the correct decision letting Wes Welker go and holding on to Julian Edelman. Welker never did have great hands dropping a lot of passes, including a huge one in the 2012 Super Bowl against the New York Giants. To make matters worse, Welker is battling a lot of head injuries.

Welker was once the best slot receiver in the league, but injuries and declining performance are showing. Welker doesn't have the same breakaway speed he once had after the catch, and he is no longer valuable on special teams like he once was. He could be a good addition for a small price on a team that has receiver issues.

Possible Destinations: Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets
