First dates can be awkward enough on their own, but Becky G and Luis Coronel may have had the strangest first date yet.

The two teenage singers were guests on "El Gordo y La Flaca," where they sat in front of a green screen as someone played the violin for them.

In the segment, Coronel is seen quietly speaking to Becky G, and host Raul de Molina can be heard saying, "how romantic." After that, Coronel is seen giving Becky G a kiss on the cheek.

But then things get weird.

De Molina insists that the two singers should not eat chicken, and he takes it away. The green screen also continues to change. It goes from a beach setting to Paris to a snowball fight. It switches a few more times before the screen shows Venice.

Becky G must have thought the whole thing was bizarre because she continued to ask what was going on, while repeating, "oh my God."

"El Gordo y La Flaca" has been trying to get sparks to fly between Becky G and Coronel for a few weeks. It started when Coronel said he admired and wanted to collaborate with the pop singer. He also called her pretty.

Becky G was then asked about Coronel, and she also complimented him.

She called herself a "big fan" and said he was "good looking."

Coronel was on "Despierta America" for his birthday, and a handwriting expert analyzed the singer's love life.

"It's a big heart that needs lots and lots of love," the handwriting expert said. "Nobody would think that a man who is so beloved and desired is shy when it comes to winning over [someone he's interested in.] He gets embarrassed making the first move."

Coronel said the expert had accurately described him, which might explain why de Molina and his co-host Lili Estefan want to help the young stars find love.
