A Belgium mother of three is accused of burning all of her young daughters alive and calling their father to taunt him "listen to their screams."

According to the DailyMail.com, Thioro Mbow is charged with causing the blaze that killed 6-year-old Madysson, 4-year-old Abbygail and 2-year-old Oumy on Wednesday. The woman allegedly locked all of the children in a shed before starting the blaze.

Allegedly, Mbow then called their father, construction worker Hellmut Ulin, and taunted him "listen him to their screams. I can hear their screams, but I will do nothing to save them. You'd better hurry, but you will be too late to rescue them. They won't survive."

Ulin, who was working on a site 12 miles away, quickly called his sister who lived nearby and asked her to go by to check on the children. But by the time she arrived, the children were already dead. As she looked on in a daze, Mbow allegedly calmly told her, "Ten minutes of screaming, and then it was over."

The couple was in the midst of a bitter custody battle and Mbow may have started the fire after receiving a letter from Ulin's lawyer, to which she took offense. She has since been arrested on suspicion of murder charges.

Mbow's eldest daughter from a previous relationship, 9-year-old Dyarra, was at school at the time and survived the tragedy.

A clearly shaken and heartbroken Ulin said, "Just before I left for work, I hugged the youngest who was already awake. I still cannot believe what happened."

Neighbor Viviane van Eeckhoudt told reporters "there was no chance to save the little ones. The shed was stuffed with paper and the flames were so fierce. It was a horrible death. We saw the mother at the scene. There were no tears in her eyes, and she did not seem to be in a panic."
