Hunger Games Catching Fire Release: Jennifer Lawrence Stuns at Premiere
The cast of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" just returned from attending premieres for the upcoming movie in Europe, including London, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Paris. The stars on fire made their hot appearance at the Los Angeles premiere, which took place on Monday at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live.
Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the role of Katniss Everdeen, wowed everyone at the event by showing off her toned body, sporting a very dramatic and striking dress that certainly made a statement on the red carpet. The 23-year-old actress was wearing a black strapless leotard underneath a floor-sweeping dusty gray-blue gown by Christian Dior that was entirely sheer.
The sensational dress was cinched in at her waist with a clunky black belt, and Lawrence completed her modern yet feminine wardrobe with matching platform sandals by Brian Atwood and a black Roger Vivier paint box clutch bag. Her recently chopped blonde pixie cut, which was slightly spiked, chic and simple black-polished nails, smoky eye makeup and bright pink lips all complimented her confident and positive look.
As gathered fans made the three-finger District 12 sign from the franchise to greet the actress, Jennifer Lawrence took time to sign autographs for them. Shortly after, she was joined by Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, the two leading men who make up her on-screen love triangle.
Hemsworth, who plays Gale Hawthorne in the film, looked fresh wearing a classic black suit with a gray tie, while Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark, was clad in a three-piece suit by Dolce&Gabbana and a printed purple tie.
Elizabeth Banks, who plays the role of Effie Trinket, was also showing off her gorgeous figure in a form-fitting bright orange gown by Versace. The dress was detailed with glittering gold strips on the left side of the dress. She accessorized her look with matching shoes and brown box clutch.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is scheduled to hit theaters on November 22.
