Netflix recently confirmed Jason Biggs, who plays Larry Bloom on "Orange Is the New Black," will not return to the show for the upcoming Season 3, the New York Daily News reports.

"They're not focusing on Larry at the moment," Biggs said. "Larry will not be in Season 3. But there's always a possibility he can come back."

Variety reports Biggs has been a series regular on the show since beginning in 2013. However, since debuting on "OITNB," Larry Bloom's role has slowly diminished.

In the meantime, Biggs has already landed a new acting role on Broadway. Biggs will star on Broadway alongside Elisabeth Moss in "The Heidi Chronicles." The show is set to premiere on Monday.

Prior to announcing his departure from "OITNB," Biggs landed in hot water for his controversial tweets about "The Bachelorette" back in May.

According to E! Online, Biggs tweeted and then later deleted, "Crazy rule change---instead of voting off the contestants, this season #TheBachelorette gets to kill them off."

Last month, "The Bachelorette" contestant Eric Hill died in a paragliding accident. Biggs' tweet referenced Hill's death.

Naturally, Twitter-verse went crazy and slammed the actor for his tweets. However, the backlash still did not compel the actor to apologize.

Biggs and his wife later defended his tweets on Extra and explained, "I tweet 'The Bachelor,' 'Bachelorette,' and then it's just fun to wake up on Tuesday mornings and see what articles are written about what tweet I wrote. ... Like what people are 'up in arms' about or 'Jason Biggs is under fire,' and I'm like, 'How am I under fire?'"

He continued, "We are joking. We don't take anything too seriously, and nothing is off limits."
