Apple iOS 8.3 Update & Release Date: Second Beta Version Released to iPhone and iPad Developers
A second beta version of Apple's upcoming iOS 8.3 is now available to developers wanting to test it out, 9to5Mac reports.
Developers of the iPhone, iPad and iPad Touch will be able to test out the beta for iOS 8.3 before it is fully released later this year. iOS 8.3 is expected to have a Wireless CarPlay feature, a new Emoji picker, an improved login process for Google services, a new and improved voice for Siri and support for Apple Pay in China.
The public will have to wait to test out iOS 8.3 until a third beta comes out. Once the third beta comes out, the general public will be able to test out the new features of iOS 8.3.
Before Apple makes the leap to iOS 9, which will address bug fixes and enhance performance, one more iOS will come out. After iOS 8.3 debuts, iOS 8.4 will be the last upgrade before Apple upgrades to iOS 9.
Most iPhone users are currently on iOS version 8.1.3. In March, iOS 8.2 will address some issues that have bothered iPhone users. iOS 8.2 is currently on its fifth beta and is almost complete.
At the beginning of the month, Apple released the fifth beta for iOS 8.2. For the new features, Apple simply lists "bug fixes and improvements."
According to iOS 8.3 release notes, the second beta for iOS 8.3 is not compatible with Verizon LTE voice. Apple suggests Verizon LTE customers hoping to test out the beta turn their phone onto data only, MacRumors reports.
As Apple continues to make improvements on its operating system, it continues to let app developers test out the improvements. Once iOS 8.2 is fully released, expect for Apple to run several more betas on iOS 8.3.
What do you think of Apple's updates to its operating system? Are there any features that you would like to see added to iOS 8.2 or 8.3? Leave us a comment below and let us know what you think.
