It's a match made in prime-time television heaven: former "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester has announced that she's engaged to former "The O.C." star Adam Brody! 

E! News has confirmed that the couple, who is notoriously private, were first romantically linked back in February of last year, and have been dating ever since. The couple first met on the set of the 2011 film, "The Oranges," and while they didn't start dating right away, they've been exclusive since they originally started dating. 

According to MSN's Wonderwall, the duo announced their engagement on November 10th at a private engagement party in Los Angeles, where only their closest friends and family were in attendance. Though they've not yet set a wedding date, elusive "sources" close to the couple say that the duo has been going around giving subtle hints about their companionship (such as appearing arm-in-arm at the premiere of Adam's latest flick, "Some Girls.").

"I haven't been in a lot of relationships, but I've been in love," Leighton said about her relationship. "There's an inexplicable chemistry. You just really, really want to, like, stare at the person. I've never fallen in love right off the bat. I get scared to say I love you too soon because it means so much. It means you're not seeing an end to things." 

Prior to dating Brody, Meester was most notoriously linked to her "Gossip Girl" co-star Sebastian Stan. Brody, meanwhile, was best known for dating his "The O.C." co-star Rachel Bilson at the height of the show's popularity.
