Osbourne's Twitter outburst comes on the heels of Rancic's offensive comment about Coleman's dread locks at the Oscars.
On the latest episode of "Fashion Police," Rancic commented that Coleman's faux locks Oscars look probably smells "patchouli oil...or maybe weed."
Coleman caught wind of Rancic's comments and retaliated on Instagram with a long message about embracing her African American heritage while describing the E! News host as ignorant.
"To say that an 18-year-old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or 'weed' is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive. I don't usually feel the need to respond to negative things but certain remarks cannot go unchecked," Coleman wrote, adding "There is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair."
Check out Coleman's full Instagram message below.
Rancic has since apologized to Coleman on Twitter and via an E! News video.
Dear @Zendaya, I'm sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would!!! — Giuliana Rancic (@GiulianaRancic) February 24, 2015
"I'd really like to address something that's weighing very heavy on my heart," Rancid said in the video. "I want to apologize for a comment that I made on last night's 'Fashion Police' about Zendaya's hair."
"Something I said last night did cross the line," she continued. "I didn't intend to hurt anybody, but I've learned it's not my intent that matters, it's the result."
Coleman has since publicly accepted Rancic's apology via another Instagram message. It is unclear whether Osbourne will follow through with her claims to quit the show.
