Apple's iOS 8.2 could be released to the public as early as next week, according to tech website BGR.

The latest version of Apple's operating system will give support to the upcoming Apple Watch that is expected to be announced at a special event on March 9. iOS 8.2 has been in testing since November.

Apple might make iOS 8.2 available Monday, March 2. That would be a full week ahead of the Apple "Spring Forward" event that will likely announce the Apple Watch.

Since the Apple Watch will need iOS 8.2 features, Apple is wise to release iOS 8.2 before they show off the Apple Watch features on March 9.

Apple has tested five beta versions of iOS 8.2 and it looks like the full version will be the next to be released.

BGR also reports that more iOS 8.3 betas will be released in the near future. iOS 8.3 has already had two betas for developers to test out. It is expected that two more betas will be released before the full version comes out.

If two more betas are released for iOS 8.3, that means that sometime in April the full version will be released. In iOS 8.3 emojis will be focused on allowing users to change emojis and modify their skin tones as well.

More features for the Apple Watch could be added to iOS 8.3 since the Apple Watch will go on sale right around the same time that iOS 8.3 is released to the public.

In mid-March, Apple is expected to allow public testing for its beta versions of upcoming iOS releases. That means that non-developers will likely be able to test out iOS 8.3 a couple of weeks before it is released to the public, AppleInsider reports. This will be the first time that Apple has allowed advanced testing of upcoming operating systems to the general public.
