T.I., Yo Gotti, Young Jeezy in Concert: Two Injured During Concert After Shots Fired
On Saturday in North Carolina, two shots were fired at a CIAA college concert headlined by T.I., Yo Gotti and Young Jeezy, TMZ reports.
Fortunately, no one was killed; however, two people suffered minor injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
According to TMZ, no one was arrested and none of the celebrities performing were injured. At the time of the shooting, T.I. was not on stage, and Jeezy and Yo Gotti were allegedly in the V.I.P section.
TMZ reached out to T.I.'s management and they say the rapper is doing fine.
It has not been confirmed who fired the shots at the party, however TMZ claims that police have an unidentified suspect.
Rolling Stone states that the party was held at Label club in Charlotte. The night before the shooting, T.I. and Lil' Wayne held an event at Label and there were no violent outbursts.
Label has since released a statement claiming that the club will cooperate with police officials. However, the club will continue on with its scheduled events despite the shooting.
"The exact circumstances concerning the incident have yet to be determined. Officials at Label are cooperating with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department concerning their investigation of this matter," Label reps said in an official statement obtained by Rolling Stone. "Tonight's events at Label will take place as scheduled. It should be noted that there will continue to be very substantial security for all Label events during tournament weekend."
The Charlotte Observer reports that a similar incident occurred last year at a CIAA weekend takeover event. Diddy was scheduled to perform that night and two men were shot in the leg.
