Country legend Willie Nelson suffered a bit of a setback over the weekend when his band's tour bus crashed in Texas over the weekend.

According to ABC News, Nelson's band's tour bus crashed in the small town of Sulpher Springs, Texas. However, Nelson himself was not in the tour bus.

"Willie Nelson's team issued a statement of their website and Facebook this morning saying that icy conditions were to blame for the accident, which occurred at 3:30am on a bridge off Interstate 30, approximately 80 miles northeast of Dallas. Willie Nelson's band bus (not Willie's bus) was in an accident overnight on icy I-30. 3 members of the family were hospitalized. Additional information will be released as we get it," the statement said.

Only three of the band members were injured. They were taken to Hopkins County Memorial Hospital to treat their injuries.

Of the three, only drummer Robert Paul English was seriously injured. English suffered a broken hip. The other two band members who were injured -- Billie Jean English and Thomas Ray Hawkins -- suffered only minor scrapes and bruises.

A spokeswoman with Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that Willie Nelson was not on the bus and that the driver of the bus was struggling to navigate through heavy rain and strong winds before the vehicle crashed into a bridge pillar.

In addition, according to the New York Daily News, the remainder of Nelson's tour has been "suspended indefinitely."

We hope that everyone involved in the accident gets well soon, and that Willie returns "on the road again"! What are your thoughts on Willie and this accident? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
