MTV Movie Awards 2015 Nominees: 'The Fault in Our Stars,' 'Guardians of the Galaxy' & 'Neighbors' Earn 7 Nominations [Watch]
The MTV Movie Awards is a fan-voted awards show that will take place April 12. MTV announced the nominees Wednesday, according to CBS News.
"Guardians of the Galaxy," "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Neighbors" received the most nominations. Each movie was nominated in seven categories, according to Variety.
This year, veteran comedian Amy Schumer will host the show. Schumer has been doing stand up since 2004 and currently hosts Comedy Central's "Inside Amy Schumer."
In January, Schumer and Kendrick were in a video to promote the movie awards. Kendrick appears on her phone and explains she does not know who Schumer. The comedian surprises the "Into the Woods" actress by jumping out at her.
Schumer tells her that the two will be best friends forever, and then asks if she's related to another Kendrick.
"Are you related to Kendrick Lamar?" Schumer said.
Kendrick explains that it's his first name. Watch the promo below.
The MTV Movie Awards began in 1992 and have been more of a parody of traditional award shows with unique categories like "Best Shirtless Performance" and "Best Fight."
The show will be broadcast at 8 p.m. eastern on MTV networks worldwide. Voting is now open here.
