'Bones' Season 10 Episode 11 Spoilers: Team Honors Dr. Sweets' Birthday, Someone Quits in 'The Psychic in the Soup'
There will be a lot to look forward to when "Bones" returns from its winter hiatus with an all-new episode that will honor the life of the late Dr. Lance Sweets.
The long-awaited episode "The Psychic in the Soup," will touch upon the subject of death and spirituality as the Jeffersonians commemorate what would have been Sweets' 30th birthday. In addition, resident psychic Avalon Harmonia, played by returning guest star Cyndi Lauper, will claim to have made contact with his spirit. This will cause conflict between Jack Hodgins and Angela, who will get into a debate over spirituality v. science.
Along with Sweets' birthday, the upcoming episode will also revolve around a dead body that is found within a very old tree, according to a new report from TVLine. Plus, one of the members on the team will quit.
"Bones resumes its season on March 26, with an episode that features an old tree with an icky-gooey dead human center. Sweets' birthday looms large throughout the hour, a fact not lost on Avalon Harmonia -- though at least one Jeffersonian staffer wants to hear none of her psychic ramblings. Also in the episode: Someone quits their job, and Brennan likens the sacrament of Holy Communion to Christine's tea party with an imaginary friend," states TVLine.
According to Carter Matt, the official synopsis of the episode reads as follows:
"The Jeffersonian team, with the help of Angela's psychic friend, Avalon Harmonia (guest star Cyndi Lauper), is drawn into the twisted world of fortune tellers when the body of a local psychic is found decomposing in the trunk of a tree. However, when the team learns more about the victim's personal life, those closest to her become suspects. Meanwhile, Booth and Brennan debate the pros and cons of Christine's new imaginary friend and the team remembers Sweets on his birthday."
"Bones" will return with Season 10 Episode 11, "The Psychic in the Soup," on Thursday, March 26 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
