Microsoft is now offering free games to Xbox One users who found their consoles to be faulty.

Since the Xbox One's launch on Nov. 22, some gamers have reported disc drive problems. According to disappointed users, the console makes loud noises when a disc is inserted. Others say that their console does not read discs at all.

Now, Microsoft is giving away a condolence prize to assuage these gamers' woes.

"While a replacement console is on its way, we want to ensure our advance exchange customers can stay in the game," a statement from Microsoft said. "We will provide each of them with a free digital download of one of the launch titles published by Microsoft Studios."

Polygon reports that an Xbox customer care e-mail says that those who own a faulty Xbox One will have the opportunity to choose from four games: Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome or Zoo Tycoon

"We know that with a hardware launch of this magnitude customers will have questions, and we have many avenues for customers to get the answers they need and get back in the game as soon as possible," Microsoft said in a statement. "Rest assured we plan to take care of our customers. Any customer who believes they are experiencing an issue with their Xbox One should reach out to us through Xbox Support."

Meanwhile, users struggling with their Xbox One are encouraged to speak with a live customer support person, contact Xbox.com's support pages and forums, send a tweet to @XboxSupport, or use their console's built-in help and diagnostics feature by saying "Xbox, help."
