Kelly Clarkson Gets Called 'Chubsters' By British Journalist, Singer Says It Doesn't Bother Her
Kelly Clarkson has been the target of some rude comments about her weight by Katie Hopkins and Clarkson did not even know it, according to E! News.
"Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen," Hopkins tweeted.
Hopkins has been labeled the "most hated woman in Britain," and it could be for comments like these.
Clarkson's fans were quick to come to her defense on Twitter and again Hopkins continued her verbal attacks on Clarkson.
"Look chubsters, Kelly Clarkson had a baby a year ago. That is no longer baby weight. That is carrot cake weight. Get over yourselves," she tweeted back.
But all of this tweeting meant to bring down Clarkson may have not even been seen by her.
"She's tweeted something nasty about me?" Clarkson asked.
Heat magazine told Clarkson about the tweets and the things that Hopkins was saying about her. Clarkson remained relaxed and replied calmly.
"That's because she doesn't know me. I'm awesome! It doesn't bother me. It's a free world. Say what you will. I've just never cared what people think. It's more if I'm happy and I'm confident and feeling good, that's always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family -- I don't seek out any other acceptance."
Clarkson admitted to Heat magazine that she did not even know who Hopkins was, according to Daily Mail. The magazine had to tell her and inform her about the tweets.
Clarkson told People Magazine last month that she is different from most pop stars; she will not be trying to attain the "polished pop star" image.
"I've always done the opposite of what people expect of me," she said to the magazine.
