Drake New Album 2013: Rapper Plans To Premiere Five Unreleased Songs Before 2014
During his recent interview, Drake revealed that he is planning to drop five unreleased songs before the year's end, including his highly anticipated Hit-Boy-produced track, "Trophies."
Drizzy added that the tracks are not set to be released as an album. "Not an EP, but maybe a blog things like how I did 'Versace,' 'The Motion,' all those in one night," said the Toronto rapper. "I'll probably do 'Trophies' and three or four other records."
Drake's much-discussed "Wu-Tang Forever (Remix)" is also slated to drop among the unreleased selections. The original "Wu-Tang Forever" is a cut off Drake's "Nothing Was The Same" album, which faced criticism for its title from fans of Wu-Tang Clan, as well as Inspectah Deck, a member of the Clan.
"I don't even know how to take it, my brother," said Inspectah Deck. "I just felt it don't need to be 'Wu-Tang Forever.' It should be called 'It's Yourz,' if that's the case. That's what the hook seems to be. That's what the main basis of the rhyme seems to be. So you can call it 'It's Yourz' and it would have the same impact. But to call it 'Wu-Tang Forever'... unless the song is about the Clan like that, then it's cool. I'm like, 'Yo, if there's a remix coming out, it got brothers on it and you just wanted to leak this one first and then come back with the Clan in that strategy, that's not the understanding that brothers had in the beginning."
"['Wu-Tang Forever (Remix)'] will probably come out with all that stuff, I hope," said Drake. "It's on 40. He has all the verses."
In addition, there might be a track assisted by DJ Dahi, who produced "Worst Behavior" from "NWTS" and another track that did not make it to the "Hold On, We're Going Home" rapper's latest project.
"There was another beat that they were actually working on that I did. It would've sounded totally different from the album, it was little more uptempo," Dahi said.
