Chiquis Rivera posted a photo to her Facebook page and Instagram about the live performance she plans to dedicate to her late mother Jenni.

"Yay!!!!! Can't wait! My first live presentation dedicated to the best of the best, my mother!" Chiquis captioned the photo.

The late Jenni Rivera won this year's Premio Lo Nuestro Regional Mexican Female Artist of the Year Award. Jenni and her daughter were both nominated for the title, but Chiquis wanted her mom to receive the honor, she said on "El Gordo y La Flaca."

"I want her to win because she may not be with us physically, but her name continues to be elevated," the young star said.

Chiquis came to the awards with her little brother, but before the event, she teased:

"I didn't want to come alone this time," she said to "Sal y Pimienta." "It's a man I love very much. He's very special in my life."

Chiquis performed at Premio Lo Nuestra as well as stars like Thalia and Becky G.

Meanwhile, Chiquis continues to follow in her late mother's footsteps in more ways than one.

She visited Children's Hospital in Los Angeles to address the children there, which is the same hospital her mother used to visit.

"You inspire me," the artist said to the children on a "Despierta America" video. "And I know you do for many little children who are here, much younger than you are. I believe in you, and I'm praying for you and your family."

"Whatever I can do, at whatever moment, I'm here," she continued. "I know it's a difficult moment, but you are here for a reason. You have a mission in life, and well, here I am. I'm your friend, and in whatever I can help, here you have me. I'm going to come more frequently."

Jenni touched the lives of many children at the same hospital where her name is written next to a flower and a card there.
