"House of Cards" is not designed for binge watching, but creator Beau Willimon will not blame people if they do just that, according to Indiewire.

Willimon recently answered questions about the hit Netflix series "House of Cards," which stars Kevin Spacey.

Willimon explains even though the show is not meant to be watched all at once, many people do it because the entire season is available on Netflix.

He said when he is at a speaking event, people will often ask him about a specific episode or scene and someone next to them will tell them not to spoil it. He replies "earmuffs" and continues to talk about the episode or scene in question.

Willimon knows all watchers of the show will consume it differently. Some will watch all the episodes at once, while others will take their time. He says people are respectful enough not to spoil the show for people who have not yet seen an episode. He also says when there are spoilers on websites or in newspapers they will alert readers with big, bold letters saying, "SPOILER."

He says spoilers in today's movie and TV world are not that much different than in the past.

"Twenty years ago, if I had seen a movie and you hadn't seen it yet, and I was talking to our mutual friend about the movie you might say, 'Hold on, hold on. Don't ruin it for me. I haven't seen it yet.' It's not much different from that," he said. 

Willimon hints there will be a season four of "House of Cards" but does not confirm it in the interview. He says after watching season three, many people should have questions they want answered.

The creator added that Washington, D.C., is glued to the show.

"We've gotten a great response from folks in D.C. I think that a lot of people that work in politics appreciate the show for a few reasons," Willimon said.

"They realize we go to great pains to make the mechanics of politics as authentic as we can," he added. "[But] we have to condense and exaggerate and [not follow] the rules sometimes, for the sake of dramatic expediency but whenever we're doing that we know the rules that we're breaking. "
