Adrian Peterson's future with the Minnesota Vikings is in question. The star running back's suspension for an incident of child abuse has been vacated by a judge.

Now that Peterson is free to resume playing, it is unclear if he wants to head back to the Vikings or if he should head to another team.

At the end of February, La Canfora reported Peterson's agent had to be separated from a member of Minnesota's front office during a heated exchange about Peterson, CBS Sports reported.

La Canfora adds Peterson does not trust the Vikings anymore after his legal ordeal and has no interest in returning to the team. Peterson is owed $12.75 million this upcoming season.

Peterson's father doubts the Vikings want him back and says they are just trying to increase his trade value, according to CBS Sports.

"They can increase his worth by saying, 'Hey, we want him back,'" Nelson Peterson said. "That's part of negotiations. Even if you don't want a player, you're telling the public, you're going to tell everybody else that you want him back because therefore you can increase his value in case you try to trade him or whatever. You can get more for him in that way. You never know what's going to happen now."

Last week, Nelson Peterson said his son could wind up being traded to the Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys or Arizona Cardinals.

Online sports book Bovada believes Peterson will return to the Vikings. They placed the odds on Peterson's return to the Vikings at 5-6. The odds for Peterson going to the Cowboys are 9-4, the Colts at 5-1 and the Cardinals at 9-1, ESPN reports.

Peterson has said he prefers to play for the Cardinals, according to reports from Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson. That would require Peterson restructuring his contract, something he said he would do.
