The Green Bay Packers have reportedly reached a four-year, $40 million deal with wide receiver Randall Cobb, ensuring that one of the top free agents this offseason will stay on their roster, NFL.com reported.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport also confirmed the four-year deal between The Packers and Cobb and also added that $17 million of the total amount is guaranteed.

Rapoport also revealed that Cobb turned down more lucrative offers from several teams to stay in Green Bay, where he has spent the first four years of his NFL career since he was drafted 64th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Previous reports indicated that Cobb will consider money as the main factor when he makes his decision this offseason, but the 24-year-old eventually decided to stay despite receiving strong offers from other teams.

According to ESPN, the Oakland Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans were all interested in acquiring Cobb and were all planning to offer a bigger deal than what the Packers are offering.

The chance to continue playing alongside a quarterback like reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers reportedly convinced Cobb to take less money and stay with the Packers, knowing that his partnership with the star quarterback could help him win a title in the near future.

Cobb had the best season of his four-year career last season when he averaged a career-high 91 catches for 1,287 yards with 12 touchdowns. He and fellow wide receiver Jordy Nelson became the first receiving tandem to tally more than 90 catches and 1,200 receiving yards with at least 12 touchdowns in the same season.

The deal ensured that Green Bay will keep both Cobb and Nelson until the 2018 season with Rodgers quarterbacking for the Packers, who lost to the Seattle Seahawks in last season's National Football Conference championship game.

Nelson, who had 98 catches, 1,519 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns for the Packers last season, signed a four-year deal worth $39 million in July last year, while Rodgers is in contract until 2019.
