Bobbi Kristina Brown News: Cousin Jerod Brown Alleges Aunt Pat Houston Murdered Bobbi; Lawyers Say to Disregard Jerod
Bobbi Kristina Brown remains hospitalized in a coma since being found unconscious in a bathtub on Jan. 31 while family members accuse each other of committing her murder.
Bobbi's cousin, Jerod Brown, insinuated on Facebook Monday that the only daughter of Whitney Houston was murdered by her aunt, Pat Houston. Jerod also claims that Whitney was murdered when found dead in 2012.
"Auntie Whitney was murdered not drowned. That's a fact. Now the whole bathroom plot shows up again w/ Bobbi Kristina's situation. C'mon are you people that bold to perform this act again on my family. And the public believes whatever these people put in their faces, I mean it is convincing if you're not on the inside. However, I will let it be known Kristina has always had suspicion about Pat Houston. Soon evidence will be handed over to assist this investigation," Jerod wrote on Facebook.
Jerod's repeated posts to social media about Bobbi prompted Bobby Brown's lawyers to release a statement to Us Weekly last month asserting he must be "disregarded."
"Please do not attend any 'meet and greet' organized by Jerod Brown as he is unable to provide access to Bobbi Kristina or information on her condition. This is a criminal investigation and we do not need this side show," the statement reads, in part.
Meanwhile, Bobbi's other aunt, Leolah Brown, posted on Facebook Saturday: "Dr. Phil, With all due respect, Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobby Kristina Brown. We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit."
Her Facebook post comes after Gordon's recent appearance on the "Dr. Phil" talk show. Gordon was "volatile" and emotionally distraught during his appearance on the show, reports the Chicago Tribune.
"He said he had an enormous amount of guilt and pain," Dr. Phil McGraw said of Gordon in an interview Monday.
Gordon reportedly entered a rehab facility immediately after the show's taping last week. McGraw said that Gordon was "clearly in an altered state of consciousness. I asked him if he was sober, and he said 'No.'"
The "Dr. Phil" show, according to McGraw, was also an intervention for Gordon.
McGraw said Gordon felt "it was his job to protect Krissy, as he calls her, and that he obviously had failed," and that he is emotionally distraught because he's prevented from seeing her.
Gordon wasn't asked about what happened to Bobbi Kristina for the episode airing Wednesday because it would have been inappropriate, according to McGraw.
Whitney brought Gordon into her household as an orphan when he was 12. She raised him and her daughter after divorcing Bobby in 2007. Following her 2012 death, Gordon and Bobbi went public with their romantic relationship.
