Tuesday, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson gave the Valentino show at Paris Fashion Week something to cheer about, and it was more than just the clothes they were wearing.

Stiller and Wilson hit the runway as characters from the 2001 film "Zoolander." It was an unofficial announcement that there will be a sequel to "Zoolander."

Paramount Pictures confirmed the sequel on Twitter along with a picture of Stiller and Wilson at the fashion show.

The Valentino show was mostly conservative with no surprise garments highlighting the show. Once Stiller and Wilson came out, the crowd roared with approval.

Stiller, dressed as Zoolander, wore a custom Night Butterflies brocade suit, a hand-embroidered overcoat and Creeper shoes. Wilson wore a silk pajama suit with a double cashmere overcoat and sneakers, according to Valentino.

The two wore their coats on their shoulders, and ended up taking them off as they walked backstage.

A representative from Valentino said the appearance was expected and planned for months. It is not known if the footage of Stiller and Wilson will make it into the movie. The movie will begin shooting this spring in Europe and is scheduled for a February 2016 release.

Stiller has been talking about a second "Zoolander" for years, according to Slash Film.

Slash Film reports a new character played by Penelope Cruz will make it into the movie. And Christine Taylor and Will Ferrell are expected to return for the sequel.

"Zoolander" was not a big success when it came out in 2001, though it made over $60 million on an estimated $28 million budget, according to BoxOfficeMojo.

Now, "Zoolander" is almost always being syndicated on TV and has become a cult classic.
