Hip hop star Rihanna is rumored to be considering sending ex Chris Brown a gift to congratulate him on the recent birth of his child with former model Nia Guzman.

The 25-year-old Brown confirmed earlier this month that he is the father of a nine-month-old daughter with Guzman stemming from a past relationship. The news reportedly prompted longtime girlfriend Karrueche Tran to end her romantic involvement with the "Loyal" singer.

According to HollywoodLife.com, yet another hit could be coming from Rihanna who the website reports has been telling friends she's had thoughts of sending her an ex a special gift to mark the occasion.

"Rihanna isn't getting Chris or his child anything," a source alleged. "She has joked to friends that she should get him something, but that would be condoms."

In recent times, Brown has hinted that he was ready to become a dad, including telling "The Breakfast Club" radio show that he once dreamed of having a child with the "Umbrella" crooner.

It's not known if Rihanna was aware of Brown's feeling where she was concerned, but she has let it be known that news of his current situation has caught her completely by surprise.

"Rihanna was shocked and had to read the reports four times before it finally sunk in," an insider told HollywoodLife.com of news about Brown being a father. "But now that it has sunk in, she's glad he never got her pregnant."

The source later added she's hoping that "this might finally wake him up and actually have him grow up and become a man."

Meanwhile, Brown has recently threatened to take Guzman to court to lessen his child support payments after he accused her of leaking information about their relationship to the media, in violation of an agreement they had entered into where he was paying her "substantially more" than he's otherwise be required to.
