NBA head coach of the Brooklyn Nets was fined $50,000 for spilling his drink on the court during the game when his team lost to the LA Lakers team with a 99-94 score.

According to Bleacher Report, it was Yahoo! Sports correspondent who first spread the news on Twitter and immediately became viral. It was later on confirmed by the NBA through Howard Beck of the same site.

What really happened?

The game then between the Brooklyn Nets and LA Lakers was down with no timeouts lefts and just 8.3 seconds remaining. The scenario has a Lakers player on the free throw line when Coach Kidd was suddenly bumped by Tyshawn Taylor, one of his team's players. This led to Kidd spilling his drink which required for the play to stop to give way for its cleanup.

So what made it a problem?

All the trouble stemmed up from the allegations that Kidd seemed to have been caught saying "hit me" to his player Taylor before getting even bumped.

Watch the video here to judge for your own opinion:

So do you think he intended the spill that led to even Andre Iguodala tweeting "If I ever become a coach, I'm using that drink spill trick..."

Both Jason Kidd and Taylor denied that it was all planned and intentional. The player who caused the spill denied that the bump was instructed and that he was just not paying attention at all.

Facing the Consequences

In the end, the NBA did not buy the reasons at all and instead pushed through with having Jason Kidd fined $50,000 on Thursday. It served as the consequence for proving that Kidd made the spilling of his cup intentional to be able to create a sort of timeout which he already ran out of during the game.

So what do you think? Was it accidental or intentional?
